Bennie Kendrick from Kendrick BBQ shares this easy but tasty recipe for a Smoked Kurobuta Ham with an amazing apricot and pineapple glaze that is perfect for a holiday centerpiece or an anytime Ham.

Ingredients

  • Glaze

    • 36 ounces apricot preserves
    • 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into small cubes
    • 2 sticks Kerry Gold butter
    • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • Rub a thin layer of olive oil on the ham before covering completely with SRF Perfect Pork Rub.

  • Preheat Traeger to 300°F

  • Prepare the glaze while ham cooks. Cook time depends on size of the ham. A half bone-in ham takes about 2 hours.

    Add the glaze about 30 minutes before the ham is finished cooking.

    The ham is ready when the internal temperature is  145°F.

Glaze

  • Mix all the ingredients in a medium saucepot at medium-low heat and reduce for about 40 minutes.
