Bacon-Wrapped Dogs with Beer Cheese

Bacon-wrapped hot dogs are always going to result in a happy crowd, but add a good sauce, like gooey, drippy beer cheese, and you’ll be nominated party MVP.

Ingredients

  • Hot Dogs

  • Beer Cheese Sauce

    • 2 Tbsp butter
    • 1/2 cup onion (minced)
    • 1/4 cup beer
    • 16 oz Ragu Double Cheddar Sauce
    • 1 Tbsp Hot Sauce

Directions

Hot Dogs

  • Cut hot dogs into 3 or 4 evenly-sized pieces as preferred. Do the same for the bacon. Wrap cut bacon pieces around the hot dogs, then secure with a tooth pick.

  • Cook in a smoker at 375 degrees until the bacon is fully cooked. OR use the oven at 350 degrees.

Beer Cheese Sauce

  • Melt butter in medium sauce pan on low-med heat until melted. Add onion and cook until translucent.

  • Add the beer and cheese sauce to the pan and cook until warm and well blended.

  • Place this mixture into a Crockpot to keep warm. Add cooked bacon wrapped weenies and leave on warm until ready to serve.
